Solar Enquiries – Website Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 2026

1. About Solar Enquiries

Solar Enquiries provides information about residential solar energy and allows UK homeowners to register their interest in solar panels and related installation services.

We operate as a lead-generation and information service. Unless expressly stated otherwise, we do not install solar panels, supply solar equipment or carry out installation work ourselves.

Website operator: Solar Enquiries

2. Using our website

By using this website, you agree to use it lawfully and provide accurate information when submitting an enquiry.

You should only submit personal information that you are authorised to provide.

Our website provides general information about solar energy for educational purposes. It should not be treated as a personalised technical assessment, financial recommendation or guarantee of suitability.

3. Submitting an enquiry

When you submit an enquiry form, you are expressing an interest in residential solar energy or requesting the information or follow-up described on that form.

Submitting an enquiry does not:

  • Commit you to purchasing solar panels or a battery.

  • Create a contract for installation services.

  • Guarantee that your property is suitable for solar.

  • Guarantee a quotation, installation date or particular financial saving.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

4. Referrals to solar installers

Where our website offers to connect you with a solar installation company, your details may be shared with the installer identified on the form or in the accompanying notice, for the purpose explained to you.

The installer may contact you to respond to your enquiry or discuss your requirements, subject to the information provided when you submit your details and applicable law.

We will explain whether your details will be shared with one or more installers before submission. We will not represent that a referral is exclusive unless this is expressly stated.

Solar Enquiries does not guarantee that an installer will contact you, offer a quotation or accept your enquiry.

5. Installation services and quotations

Any quotation, survey, recommendation, installation contract, warranty or after-sales service provided by an installer is subject to the separate terms agreed between you and that installer.

Before proceeding with an installation, you should review the installer's quotation, payment terms, equipment specifications, warranties, relevant accreditations and any applicable cancellation rights.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, Solar Enquiries is not a party to the installation contract and does not carry out or supervise the installation.

6. Website information and savings claims

We aim to provide useful and accurate information about residential solar energy. However, information on this website is general and may not reflect the circumstances of every property or household.

Solar generation, potential bill savings, export payments and payback periods depend on factors including property characteristics, system design, installation costs, electricity consumption, tariffs and future energy prices.

We do not guarantee specific savings, earnings, property-value increases or investment returns.

7. Privacy and personal information

Personal information submitted through our website will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice, available at www.solarequiries/Privacy Notice.

Please read that notice before submitting an enquiry. It explains what information we collect, why we use it, who may receive it and how you can exercise your data protection rights.

Where separate consent is required for marketing communications or other processing, we will obtain it separately.

8. Website availability and intellectual property

We aim to keep our website available and information up to date, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or that the website will always be free from technical errors.

Unless otherwise stated, the website's original text, branding and design are owned by or licensed to the website operator. They must not be copied or used commercially without permission, except where permitted by law.

9. Liability

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

To the extent permitted by law, Solar Enquiries is not responsible for installation work, equipment supplied by an installer, quotations issued by an installer or contractual commitments made directly between an installer and a homeowner.

Nothing in these terms affects any rights you have under applicable consumer protection or data protection law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes to our website, services or legal obligations. The latest version will be published on this page with its updated date.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that you already have under applicable law.
